The Huon Valley

Thursday 17th November 2016
Our last day in Tasmania was spent exploring the Huon Valley. We were hoping to go over to Bruny Island on this trip but we just ran out of time. So we stopped in at one of the bays to enjoy the scenery instead.

Then we found ourselves at The Apple Shed. The home of the Willie Smith's cider, and the Apple Museum.

Andy relaxing and enjoying his cider tasting paddle.

Olives, fresh sourdough and cider... delicious!

"A large rustic barn surrounded by green pastures and old wooden outbuildings, Willie Smith’s Apple Shed is the home of Willie Smith’s Cider. It’s a place to learn about the history of the Huon Valley and its apple industry, while enjoying food made in our kitchen from local and regional, seasonal and sustainable produce."

After lunch we wandered around the beautiful grounds, wishing our backyard looked like this.

Such a great way to finish our trip.

Tasmania you have been amazing. We will be back for sure!
